Fire Alarm & Fire Sprinkler Inspector

Our fire alarm and fire sprinkler inspector duties include testing and inspection of fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems with knowledge of multiple manufacturers’ products. Self-motivation, customer service orientated with strong written and verbal communication skills a must. Inspector will provide accurate, detailed inspection reports with proper documentation of improvements and deficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, testing and services of all life safety product lines.
• Proficient in working with low voltage wiring and alarm devices for the operation of low voltage equipment.
• Daily communication with VFS office pertaining to all aspects of each inspection or project.
• Work closely with VFS office admin to ensure successful project closeout and turnover of job so the work can be billed immediately.

Qualifications

• NICET Level II or III preferred.
• Backflow certification preferred.
• Fire pump experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA codes.
• Working knowledge of fire sprinkler systems and fire alarm systems.
• Able to complete documentation using Inspect Point software.
• Capability of presenting inspection information and respond to questions from customers and AHJs.
• Have a valid driver’s license, in accordance with VFS policy.
• Willing to take and pass drug test, pass background and reference checks.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Daily walking, climbing, bending and reaching.
